IL FIORE D’ORO welcomes guests inside a historic building built in the 1940s, inheriting the hospitality and passion of the Neighborhood of Sant’Antonio in which it is immersed. The intimate and reserved soul of the residence and the owners’ desire to provide guests with a typical and characteristic experience are told in nine exclusive rooms arranged on two floors of the building, on the fourth and fifth floors where there is also a splendid terrace.
The interior design is the strong point of the facility. Careful renovation by Gallotta Studio enhanced the apartment’s vintage details, such as the Neapolitan gessolini and riggiole – the original floorings from the 1940s.
Everything was studied right down to the smallest detail and was made especially for IL FIORE D’ORO. The wainscoting and the engraved motifs on the doors were designed ad hoc inspired by the regular depictions of the riggiole – the typical original Neapolitan flooring of the period – in the same way that all the furnishings were inspired by Deco aesthetics.
Il Fiore D’Oro stands in a building from the 1940s. Many aspects of the building tell the story of that period through certain details, from the flooring to the rationalist railings to the Neapolitan riggiole flooring.
Crossing the threshold of the doorway of this ancient building, one will undoubtedly run into some resident intent on offering coffee to his neighbors as in traditional Neapolitan comedies or be inebriated by the smell of a ragout that is pippea-ing – an onomatopoeic term that in the Neapolitan dialect means that sauce is simmering very slowly.

If you visit us in the low season, which runs from late April to mid-June and from late October to mid-December, you will find a small sleepy village with about 5,000 inhabitants, surrounded by quiet and beautiful nature, where the bells of the black-nosed sheep on the meadows around the village are the only perceptible noise.
